The HTA device uses heated circulating fluid to treat the lining of the uterus. Because the fluid flows freely, all aspects of the lining are treated. This is important if fibroids are present which would otherwise make some areas of the lining hard to reach unless the fibroids were removed at the same time. For women with one or more deep fibroids that would be difficult to remove with a hysteroscope, the HTA is often the best choice for an Endometrial Ablation.
